  1. You might look into 'lucid dreaming.' Its a method of consciously controlling your dreams. You'll be able to change the dream next time it happens. These kinds of dreams can be normal, but not for such a long time. What do you think it might be telling you? Try to interpret it. Sometimes, when you interpret the dream's meaning it'll stop. Like it might represent a fear you have, or an event you can't face in the waking world. Also, prayer and meditation before bed could help. Hope it works out. God bless.

  2. It is like a collision between your astral body rejoining the physical body because of "turbulence during the flight". Every night your astral body goes for a trip. Sometimes you remember it and sometimes you don't.

If you have fear over the feeling as docking begins (because you have wakened), the fear hampers a smooth transition. Just accept and relax with it and the docking will be sweet. Just ask (pray, if you will) for smooth docking from now on and it is yours.

  3. You can't prevent it

Its a dream testing your pysche

You realized you were dreaming and couldn't take control when you needed to even though it was life or death. You have a weak pysche

    Work on your confidence

Your not paralyzed, you typed this didn't you

Its just very traumatic, i've had a dream almost exactly the same and this is how i know this. I've worked on my confidence and haven't had a dream like that since then.

You are safe don't be scared
