Weird eyesight?

Question

you know when your on a page and its a black bacground with white writing.. do your eyes go funny or is it just mine?

also..

when your sitting/lying down and then you stand up suddenly and your eyes go all black and you fall about.. why does this happen?

I totally know what you mean. The laying down thing happens to me everytime. Maybe it has something to do with the blood or oxygen going to your brain.

Well, your eyes are just receptive to light.  Your eyes are perfectly normal if they act weird in the situation you stated.  As long as you can focus them normally, you're ok.

As for the second question.  That is called a "headrush."  They are caused by many things though not all at once.  Lack of oxygen, or a rush of blood can cause that.  It's nothing to be worried about- just don't fall over and hurt yourself.

it happens from focussing on something for a long period of time, the weirdness is just your eyes readjusting to your surroundings.

When you stand up too quickly, the blood rushes out of your brain, resulting in the colors you see and the dizziness you may feel.

Whow! I get that second thing too!    Not sure why though.... You know what else is cool, stairing at a magenta piece of paper for a while, than quickly look at something black, and it becomes green

its called motion sickness. People get it because their eyes cannot focus, like when they are spining around and get dizzy; this is only becaus they have been spining around the eyes have not been able to focus on anything. fror the firt oe, i would just say that its because you eyes just may not be used to it

okay i am the perfect person to answer this since i have the weirdest/worst eyesight ever. 6 months ago i lost my ability to read anything without a backlight. i've had a billion doctors appointments, 2 spinal surgeries, 2 V.E.P.s, and 3 M.R.I.s, but nothing has solved my problem. i don't know about the first scenario, but the second, well, i experience every time i stand up! my mom says this is either from blood sugar or dehydration. just drink A LOT and if it continues see a doctor. it could be several things, but don't worry. i have been experiencing this for a long time and nothing terribly bad has happened. well, okay, it has, but i make do. i doubt my two problems go hand in hand.

The first happens to a lot of people. It's similar with red writing on a blue background - it looks like the writing is bobbing around! The second is due to blood and gravity, so you feel dizzy and everything goes black briefly. It happens to most people.

The 1st thing, i think is normal, i think its just your eyes adjusting, as the white can be rather overpowering.

Then the 2nd thing is also normal, i get that too, mainly when i havent drank that much water during the day, or been sitting down for a very long time so my body gets a bit of a shock when i stand up quick! there called head rushs and they can be quite scary sometimes! but as i said, theyre normal.

So, dont worry! sounds completley normal
