Weird law in Michigan?

According to various websites, in Rochester, Michigan, the government has to inspect your bathing suit before you go swimming. This is very untrue because I know many many people who live here and have never had to be inspected. Anyone know the history of this?

  1. Chapter 34, Article II, Section 34-32 (11) of the Rochester, Michigan Code of Ordinances makes it illegal to "swim in a park, pond, or creek."  The rumor you heard probably originated from that.
