Weird lion thing pictures?

It's july 30th 2008. my dad said that this morning on fox news they showed this weird lion-like creature. Upon searching, i came to find that i could not find any evidence of this thing.

Is my dad being stupid? or am i just too dumb to find them

It was probably the photos taken of something and shown in the Colorado Springs Gazette newspaper.  Looked more like a big dog running away to me.
