Weird memory eating virus thingy?

Question

So lately when I view task manager and my computer has been on for a while it says the commit charge is around 1655M/2459M but I have nothing big running besides firefox. Also every 20-30mins (becomes way more frequent when I leave the computer inactive) there will be a pop up on my computer (even when browsers are closed) usually based on some dating or lottery site.

I ran a full scan with AVG as well as Windows Defender and they resulted in nothing, I also deleted all my cookies and stuff too, but still the problem is at large.
