Weird period, super weepy and emotional but negative HPT?

I had unprotected s*x on CD 15. My period was due on CD 28 but it was 3 days late. It lasted only 3 days instead of the usual 5-7 . It was fairly light although there was red blood along with pinkish discharge and brown "old" blood. I took a HPT the morning before it started and it was negative. I have been super weepy, emotional but don't really have any other "classic" pregnancy symptoms such as morning sickness or sore b***s. Has anyone ever had a similar situation and ended up pregnant??

If you are still concerned about it then you should see a doctor and find out for sure if you are pregnant. Sometimes HPT are not that accurate.They can give false positives or negatives, which is one of the reasons you should still see a doctor. Some women will also experience spotting when they are pregnant and mistake that as their period. The spotting occurs when the egg implants itself, but it does not always happen with every woman.

It is also possible that you are stressed out to the point that it is actually effecting your period. I know the more stressed I am the more it effects my cycle like that. I have had periods that have been really light and have only lasted 2 or 3 days. I have had months where I have had two in one month.

My best advice would be to see a doctor as soon as possible and make sure that everything is okay.

not had a similar situation, but if that was implantation bleeding, you tested to early so that's why you may have got a negative, i would do another test as that would show now, also my b***s didn't hurt before i found out i was pregnant only just started hurting now with the nausea to go with it, good luck
