ok i just got my first period yesterday and now wen ever i go to do tricks like a double front handspring i leak but wen i relax i don't leak so any help i haven't tried a tampon because there are none in the house and my mom is at work till 7 and i have gymnastics class at 6 soooo plz help and soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Well.. I&#039;m going to take what my friends do and what I do and mix it together. If you have really heavy, irregular periods, you should wear an overnight pad (you know those huge ones you wear overnight?), and wear two layers of underwear if you can. Black if possible. I don&#039;t know why black works so well.. But.. It just does! o_O

    If you&#039;re scared it&#039;ll leak when you&#039;re out and about, try wearing dark pants. And also I think when you feel really uncomfortable, you should probably go change your pad. I&#039;ve heard tampons aren&#039;t really good for you, because it&#039;s like a bathtub and the tampon is the plug. You plug the bathtub, and it fills up slowly.. And when you pull the plug, the water drains. You get it.. right?  


  2. Wear pads for now.. its al you can do and bring extra with you and change it when ever you get a chance to.  when you get to gymanstics  you could ask a girl there if you could use a tampon. Also try and have a more relaxing gymastics class thats not as intense as it may be..   in a few days your flow wont be as heavy  so there is a less of a chnace of leaking then.

    I too think tighter underwear would be a be a good solution while you wear a pad.  And calling your mother is a great idea.  Perhaps she can get you some tampons and drop them off.  Ask one of your friends if they have any.  Good luck!!

  4. wear a maxi pad w/ wings and wear tight spandex shorts(maybe 2 pairs) with like sweatpants or what ever your uniform for gmnastics is

    p.s. go get some tampons tomorrow!

  6. Try wearing tighter panties so that the pad is closer to your body.  Or, you could ask a friend if they have any tampons (if any of your friend have started their periods as well.)  Could your mom bring you some on her lunch break?

  7. wear a pad and underwear under your leotard and if you dnt have any strict dress codes at gymnastics wear tight/spandex shorts over your leotard.

  9. you playing tricks with gravity and being upside rushes the flow, obviously. that&#039;s why when women are on their period they aren&#039;t very active. and that&#039;s why there is a such thing as a tampon. wear it! they are much more comfortable anyways, and they don&#039;t feel like anything. it&#039;ll be comfortable for you when you do your gymnastics. though, your flow coming out during flips and stuff is normal, you can still just wear a pad during gymnastics and just get used to the feeling :(
