Question:

Weird phone numbers?

Every night for the last couple of days, this really weird number is calling me, on my Cell Phone. It calls at about 3-5 am, and continues for at LEAST 10 times. I answered a couple of times, but I heard some really weird stuff. The first time I answered, there was someone with a Middle-Eastern accent saying: Hello? Hello? At this point, I was convinced it was a prank, so I called back. It said the call could not be completed as dialed, or the number had been disconnected. last night when I answered, all I heard was strange beeping. My friend has received calls from a similar number before, and when we called it back, it said the same thing about being disconnected.

But I have to say, all of this, wasn't even the weird part. The weird part was that the number was 13 digits. i thought that wasn't even possible. I know number can be 10-digits. And it was an 800-number or anything close to that.

In case you wanna try, the number was 234-803-4316756.

It's just really starting to scare me

  1. Sounds like somebody with an international number has your number by mistake. When you answer those calls you are probably getting charged crazy international rates, so just let them go to voicemail. I would assume they will figure it out soon, but if not the only thing you can really do is change your number.

  2. that phone number (and it is a phone number) is the country code area code and phone number ... from Nigeria.  I am in texas and they are 7 hrs ahead of us.. I dont know where you are but I am betting they are about 7-8 hrs ahead of you too.. so when they are calling you its about noon maybe a little later (or earlier) in Nigeria.

  3. Sounds like an international number. Someone has gotten your number. Or they might just have the capability to change the number that they call from.

  4. My friend has had the same thing on her cell phone. You should block the call . It is most likely someone using an internet call telephone such as Skype. You should most definantly call your service provider and ask them on what you can do including getting a new cell phone number. I dont believe that these calls are threatening but i would be extremely cautious. Please call your service provider.

  5. To me it sounds like someone calling with a calling card. And they have the wrong number, Either tell them they got the wrong number or wait- they'll give up i'm sure.
