Weird....?!?

In the last 2 weeks I can’t sleep at all, I lay awake all night, hear the birds in the morning singing, see the sun coming up and hear the first people going to work. Then finally when I fall asleep, I have these weird short dreams about dead people. 3 People are laying in mud (beach??) it's dark and they are wearing light blue uniforms (WW1??). The skin is peeled off there faces, it’s bloody...and I’m thinking I can’t leave them like this, I’m not scared, next the uniform jackets are wrapped thight around their heads and I'm wondering why they are not dirty... then I wake up....In another dream I have to tell someone on the phone that their son or daughter is dead because they haven’t picked up their photo’s (???) and they don’t listen, my friends start to laugh and so am I, again I try to explain, i’m still laughing, then I wake up....

Why about death and what is causing these dreams?

Death is not literal in dreams it means that an old quality or characteristic in yourself is dying off or it can mean change.  For instance, you may be changing jobs/school, relationship, moving etc.

The first one seems like the uniform are something that you want to rid yourself of.  You don't want to conform to one way of thinking anymore.  You want to break free and do your own thing.

Skin is your first line of defense in keeping unwanted germs and other things out.  Maybe you lack boundaries and need to figure out who to let into your life, and who to keep away from.  Maybe learning to say no to conformity.

When the uniforms are wrapped around their heads this would indicate you cant think for yourself.  Again, conformity is thinking for you. This is something you want to change and that is why the men are dead.  Why isn't it dirty to do what society wants?  Because that is the norm.

Photos generally represent memories.  Phones represent communication.  The person you are speaking to is yourself in this dream.  Your not listening to your inner voice and it's telling you to go back and look for memories about your childhood that were upsetting and caused a huge change in your life.  For instance, parents divorcing, abuse, neglect etc.  You start to laugh because you don't want to deal with the pain from your childhood and this is a defense mechanism.

I think the less sleep we manage to get the more weird our dreams are, I know mine are when I'm exhausted from trying to sleep.  The theme of this is death obviously, but both times you are sorting things out. So, I would think this is about a couple of things that you need to sort out that have been hanging around you for a while. I think one is where you feel a bit guilty but are not sure how to approach the situation. You don't necessarily have to sort it out with the people involved, just get your head round it and draw a line under it. The second I feel is something you need to forgive someone for. They don't need to know, but you need closure in order to free you up to move on and be free.
