Weird question, but is this normal?

Okay so earlier I was changing my sons diaper and i noticed that okay he started pooping when i changed him and i noticed that his balls i guess turn white and was very hard. Then a min ago i changed him right after he got done filling his diaper and it was like that again. This is my first baby and Im not sure should i be worried??? He will be 3 weeks tue. Can someone tell me if its normal or should i call his peditrician?? Thanks!

Male testis retract when they get cold.  If your son was on a cool, air conditioned room they may retract or he could be getting chilly because you are removing his clothes to change his diaper.

You may also notice this in the bath if the water starts to get chilly.  Just make sure he is warm enough in air conditioned rooms and he will be fine.

Of course, you can also ask your doctor just to ease your mind.  As a fellow first time mommy, I find comfort in hearing from the community, but also need to hear it from my doctor as well (sometimes!).

ummm you mihght have to call a pediatrician. but i think he is ok...my boy went through somthin familiar.

They get hard when it is cold. You are removing a warm diaper and exposing him to cold air. It is normal and nothing to worry about. Try using a wipe warmer if it concerns you or using a warm wash cloth to wash him off with. Hope that helps
