Weird question about my fathers toes?

My father has his middle toes a lil longer then his 2nd toe the next to the big toe but his mid toe is also about the same length as his big toe or just slightly lesser. why is this

  1. Actually this is not an odd observation. There are genes that impact relative digit lengths. Having a short big toe compared to the second toe is dominant. In 20% of people, the second (index) toe is longest; in 3%, the third (middle) toe; and in 2%, the first three toes are of equal length.
