Weird question about tv/magnetic?

Hey, here is a weird question. my brother took these 2 magnetic bean things.. they are toys in which you can play with so they stick together, do tricks, ect...

Anyway, he put them on the TV, and messed up the color so that parts of the screen are green and purple.

I think it has to do with the polarity of the TV/magnetics..

Does anyone know how to fix it?

call a local tv repair shop and see what it would cost to demagnatize the tv. Some shops will do it for free while you wait if you carry it in. Or see if you can buy a demagnatizing coil from Radio shak

It is up to you if you want to try, but I had the same thing happen to me. I used the same magnet and basically just pulled the odd color spot off to the side of the screen until it cleared up. It did take several tries to get it to work, so you just have to be patient. I am still using the same TV almost 10 years after the fact.

sorry not a lot you can do itmay ease over time (did not afect the b/w tvs permantly )
