Did you sound any different? Was breathing harder? I work in radio and do on air traffic reports, I have a busy shift with a lot of talking and projecting my voice... just wondering how pregnancy may or may not affect the sound of my voice and/or respiratory system?

  1. It did not happen to me but it did to my best friend.  Her doctor told her it was because of the increase blood flow in general and the oxygen demand on the body due to the pressure of the baby on all organs.  Most pregnant women do breath a little harder as the baby grows bigger.  Good luck

  2. Since you work in radio, your voice is very important.  A pregnancy will definitely affect your voice, because of the pressure created by the pregnancy.

Additionally, At the speed you have to talk in radio, you will get out of breath faster, than a pregnant woman that doesn't work on the radio.

  3. i havent experienced voice changes but I have noticed that I've been breathing heavier and have shortness of breath.

  4. i breath harder only cause ive never been over 110lbs in my life i just feel fat...baby fat that is

  5. When I was probably around 5 to 6 months pregnant, it got harder and harder for me to breathe. It stayed that way pretty much til the end. As she grew she pushed into my ribs which made it harder to breathe. I sounded out of breath a lot. Had a hard time catching a deep breath.

  6. My voice always gets deeper when I'm pregnant. With my daughter I sounded like a man it was so deep. And now I am 6 months pregnant and its getting really deep again. Plus I do have a harder time breathing. But its different for different people.

  7. Ya The pressure from the Baby causes it because it pushes all organs up.I had a lot of trouble breathing,Getting up from laying down,It pushes on your bladder making you go to the restroom more often but hey look what you get in the end its soooo worth it.

    Congratulations.

  8. My voice changes with weight gain or loss. The change is slight, most would not notice.
