Weird reaction to a death ?

I was thinking and just remembered something that happened a couple of years ago, me and three friends were walking down the street in Boston and we happened to witness a car accident, and it was a brutal one, one of the guys died on impact and the other broke some bones. I remember seeing the dead dude and all 3 of my friends had different reactions,

friend 1- says, "Jesus ****** Christ" and starts praying the rosemary

friend 2- Runs over to help sees the dead dude (lots of blood) throws up

Me- walks over, sees the blood said "Thats really ****** gross" and takes a picture on my phone.

I know it was a weird reaction but my friends call me "slightly-psychotic" since then and I want to know, how would you have reacted?

you took a picture? whyy? i mean he's dead and you took a picture on your phone? so you could show your friends? did you think it looked cool. eurgh. id hate to think if i died in a car crash teenagers would come and take pictures of my corpse.

Everybody reacts differently to death.  I for one do not get grossed out by blood and stuff, but broken bones do me in.  Many people vomit at the sight of blood, some faint.  Others pray for the victims sole to have a safe passage to heaven.  Just because you reacted as you did does not mean you are phychotic, you just have a higher tolerance for things like this.  Other things may really get to you though.

I would have gone to see if the dude was still alive. THEN I would have found out he was dead, and cry. :/

The shock of seeing an event like this can have different reactions in  different people. Hence the variety of different responses between yourself & friends. Some folk have a morbid reaction, others don't.

If it had been me I would have been concerned to know if help was on it's way and supported the living if no-one else was doing so.

If all this was being done I would then have walked away.
