hi

i dont know if you'll understand what im talking about

but sometimes late at night on one of those weird non-popular radio stations...they play these long "songs" where you like...hear footsteps and the "song" goes through like sounds as if you were walking down a street or something

does anyone know what that music is? or any artists/song titles?

thanks :)

  1. listen to Pink Floyd the wall,

    or any floor music

  2. Yeah, Floyd or maybe The Doors.  Might even be something like a Queensryche track off "Mindcrime".  Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Yes, Sabbath, Zeppelin and countless others have tracks of that nature also.

And Traffic's "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" might be a suspect with footsteps at the intro and outro of the track.  If a station you're hearing is playing that I'd be impressed, astonished and afraid.  And a bit envious I wasn't working there.

Knowing the format of the station would provide a critcal clue of the possibilities - is it Classic Rock, Classic Country, Hip Hop (Urban), Dance (CHR) or Alternative(College)?  When you say "non-popular" station I'm guessing you mean "Alternative".  I have no insight to the music for that format.

You might be hearing some type of "fill music" that is bridging some form of outsourced programming.  If you hear it at a regular time on regular days I'd bet this is our culprit.

And possibly it's somebody's bad version of a good idea for a "show open".

Hard to guess without hearing it and having more information.
