Weird that Scorpio and Cancer are a good match?

Why is it that cancer and scorpio are such a good match. Scorpio are percieved as the meanest of the zodiac and cancer is percieved as the kindess of the zodiac. How does that work?

I'm a Scorpio girl and my bf is a Cancer. I always asked him if he thought I was a mean person, since I've hurt his feelings too many times during our arguments, and he always tells me that I am not. He says, I only 'act' mean, but I am a very nice person and he knows who I am inside. He understands me and it's amazing.

He is kind, charming, loving and is very good at taking care of people and his nature is very soothing to me, since I'm usually more intense, prone to volatile tempers and easily irritable.  He keeps me grounded and keeps me in check.  Cancers do tend to be emotional and do show it, while Scorpio is also emotional but they are tough and strong, also protective when in love.  I think this makes Cancer feel safe and protected.

I think cancer don't suit Scorpio's true nature at all, but so many Scorpios over there tend to be more watery and emotionally bonded in everything they do and Cancer is cardinal water feminine sign so they tend to show their emotion or understand peoples emotions more faster then Scorpio and Pisces. So that explains why they both end up together plus cancer will compromise a lot of matter when it comes to relationship and family so Scorpio can keep their fixed ideology alive.

I prefer to make my ideology heard by more stronger signs like Leo, Aries,Taurus, Sagittarius, Aquarius and another Scorpio. Obviously its a challenge to make them follow you for their hard personality but that's what i call challenge and its more interesting. It's been working great :)

The more dominant Scorpio will find it hard to accept cancer as they don't suit them even if they are kind and good. So i think that's the story. I personally don't like cancer but who cares about me, the whole world think they are good :) so be proud you Cancers.

Funny thing, I'm a Cancer and I'm dating a Scorpio. This match is so magnetic. All of our friends used to think that my Scorp man was mean and I was too nice. Now they say that he has calmed down and is happy and I've stopped taking sh*t from everyone. This is a good match because both signs are able to understand each other. Emotions run deep for Scorpios and Cancers so we can understand this and connect with it. Cancers are natural lovers and caretakers. When Scorpios really love someone they will do anything for them! They have a player reputation but when in love, only their girl matters. So these two signs are all about each other when they get together. Not only that, it's like natural chemistry between the two.

First let me state that I am a scorpio and I am far from mean. I here that a lot on this site, but I think its more misunderstood. I dated a cancer once, and it was the best relationship ever. The reason that Cancers and Scorps get along so well is that we are both water sign, both very sensitive, and even though many percieve the Scorp as mean, the Cancerian, knows that the Scorp has a heart of gold.
