Weird urine smells- like food?

over the last few months quite often when i wee it smells like what i've just eaten or drank. like orange juice, lasagna, fruit, whatever.

is it normal?

i have chronic fatigue syndrome so i don't know if its some weird symptom of that.

I too have had this problem and have chronic fatigue.  It seems different from the 'some foods such as asparagus just do this' - because it is with pretty much everything.

My guess (and I'm not a health specialist, just a sufferer) is that the gut becomes permeable because of candida, or an allergy, or some sort of inflammation.  This allows very small amounts of the food to move from the gut into the blood stream.  The kidneys then filter this out of the blood and it ends up in you urine.

Maybe you could try eating only foods which are gentle on the gut and try removing the usual suspects of wheat and dairy for a while.

Anyway, that's my take.  I hope you find a solution.
