Weirdest Dream I've ever had help!!!!?

Question

In my dream I was on a stranded island

there was a whole Bunch of people i believed i knew but i didn't know any one

my dad step sister and step mother were there

Then i was to be put to death by some guy in black with an axe

so the guy came and he was swinging up and me and my sister looked at each other and she gave me a look that made me feel every thing would be ok. Then as the axe was going down you would think i would wake up, but I didn't the axe cut of my head and I didn't feel anything but the dream continued, and my head reattached somehow and I survived.........this was so weird ive heard you should never die in your dreams but well. i don't know its confusing me any help?

What Ann H said was somehow correct but I'm thinking that you have a fear that you faced a couple days ago. Your mind is telling you to conquer your fear or you will have a troubled life in the future. By the way, what is your fear. My fear is of me killing people and seeing other suffer.

This dream could mean many things. For one thing, it sounds like you could have some unknown fear or fears, in your life, that you are aware of, but may subconciously choose to ignore for whatever reason,or you may not even be aware of these fears conciously, but do know that they exist because of the anxiety they cause, and your subconcious is trying to work out these fears in you dreams. You mentioned several close family members. Is there any tension or strained relations in your family? I just find it curious that right after you mentioned your dad, step sister,ands step mother that the guy in black with the axe showed up in your dream. Finally,the last part of the dream where you survived being decapitated,  may have some relation to some trauma you have gone through,or will go through, [sometimes dreams can be prophetic], and your self preservation and basic instinct to survive kicks in ,and you somehow find a way to rebuild your life.
