  1. I just think that it is weird that all the good drivers are leaving the only teams that they know for something different.

  2. If it was easy, more would try. The only true independent team is Robby Gordon. The Wood Brothers get all kinds of help from other teams.

    I wish Tony the best.

  3. Maybe Tony's going to back to the IRL and get his 500 win. He thinks outside the box. I'd like to see him in open wheel stuff again. The NAS(TY)CAR  team might support such a move. Short tracks and dirt forever!!!!

  4. about wat

  5. I'm happy Smoke will finally be in a Chevy, where he belongs, Congrats Smoke. With his smarts hopfeully he can bring Haas racing some wins, and perk that team up for sure..Now if he brings Zippy, I'm sure there will be greatness..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  6. My answer is not going to be a popular one.

I like Tony, but I think he's an idiot!!

I wish him the best of luck, he's going to need it!!

  7. You mean the irrational, stupid in him is finally showing.

    Career suicide.

  8. Darn, I hoped this was an announcement about Smoke entering a celebrity poker tournament with Gabe Kaplan!

  9. Great move on his part.  He'll be back in a Chevy (he never seemed like a Toyota man to me) and he has independence.  If one person can turn a team around it is Tony.  I have thought for a couple of years that he was ready to own/ and/or turn a team around/own and drive.  Good for him.  Honestly I think he will be a lot happier.  The thing that was scary is that he has seemed to not like racing this year and to not like your job can be real bad.  I am very happy for him.

  10. I hope he knows what he is doing. He could be in the #14 like AJ Foyt his idol drove.

  11. Good Luck to Tony, I do hope he can turn around Haas/CNC with all his money.

  12. I'm glad he's back driving Chevys - I think that alone might be good for him as he seemed to be unhappy with Gibbs decision to move to Toyota.  Look at the ArmorAll commercial where he's mesmerized by the Corvette C6........lol

Seriously...........I think it will end up being a good decision, as he clearly was'nt happy at Gibbs anymore. If anyone can make an owner/driver situation work though, it is probably Smoke.

  13. Thank you!

    I'm glad to be back.

  14. I think it sucks but I will still support Smoke.  I am very sad that he is leaving JGR.

I just wish him he best.  I am crushed.

  15. lol @ fluffy....... i for one think tony made a great decision, to be part car owner and leave Joe Gibbs..... it is time for tony to bring in the talent... and something other than racing to retire on...... maybe who knows one of his kids will race for tony Stewart racing someday.... ( if he is blessed to have any that is)

    - tony i support you 100%, honey bear!

tony stewart racing is the next best thing.... i smell a championship in 2009!
