Welders: has welding degraded your vision, in spite of the use of the proper eye protection?

I use to weld quite alot for 4 years and used a mig welder with a full hood and even with the protection i still have tracers or floaters......they are like black spots that if you try and focus on em they move away.... other than that I dont have any bad vision doesnt really bother me unless i try and stare at something for a long time.

i know it hurts like h**l when i look at the BLASTED sparks

I have two friends that weld..and they say their vision is fine!
