Welding jobs and where to live in South Dakota?

Question

I am a certified welder, just graduated, so not much experience and I'm interested in moving to South Dakota. Are there many jobs for welders there? Estimated pay? Also, my wife and daughter would be moving with me, so I would love to know about a nice, safe city to live in. I don't mind living in a rural part(we live in rural, AL now) I don't mind driving 20-30 minutes to work everyday. I would like a great view, either mountains or plains, doesn't matter to me.
