Welfare expansion have you been sold to the idea?

Is welfare expansion needed? Have you been bought hook like and sinker to the need for its expansion? Sounds like a gimmick because who is ever going to study and see if the poor actually need something. Most people on the street are either mentally challange or are addicted to something. While I'll agree that their might be a need for a few changes. Its still a sham and is corrupt and overly abuse. One lady in particular coined the name welfare queen as she had over a thousand identities and peddled millions on welfare checks alone.

Say NO  to welfare expansion.  I've watched someone in my family live his entire life on welfare and make excuses for his failures.  I've seen him give up three daughters to adoption.  And deny the other 2 the time of day.  While he is "living it up"  getting everything he needs: eyeglasses, prescriptions, medicine, a place to live;  I've seen my dad and mom, who have worked their entire life, not be able to afford meds my dad needs for his diabetes without having to sacrifice something else.  This just doesn't seem right to me.

He gets lazier and lazieer and my parents work harder and harder and both get the opposite effect.

If you won't work... you shouldn't eat.  Plain and simple.

Look up section 8 here on YA.  You'll see pretty clearly that people take complete advantage over this BROKEN system.  Basically, the more kids you have the better the bonuses.  WTF??!!

I have not heard the term 'welfare expansion' thrown around in this election but I do know there is a difference between welfare fraud (i.e. abuse of the system) and whatever welfare expansion is suppose to be. You can get rid of fraud without throwing out the hold system...and that goes for any government programs.

Before I read your post, I thought you meant expanding welfare for the rich to welfare for the poor. No one ever talks about welfare for the rich. They get every break you can imagine. And that lady that misused the system is one among many who do not. Most people, a little known fact, on welfare are white although there are more blacks in relationship to there numbers in the society. The problem with blacks has been that many were born into the system, but Bill Clinton addressed that with Work First where there is a limit to how long you can get it before you have to be trained and go to work. Whites are not usually generational recipients and the society sometimes favors them in job assistance. Also white men and women STILL make more money than Blacks for the same work, even when blacks have equal education. Oh and it's "hook line and sinker." Use spell check, it's "challenged."
