Well, anyone get caught or know anyone get caught for not having a full licence?

Question

Anyone see any check point in Dublin (or anywhere)?

I didnt see any today, so I reckon I might chance driving to work!

I haven't been through or seen a check point in age's. The guards are not around as much as they said they would be. Although the one day you chance driving with out a full licence will prob be the day they come out. I got my full licence over a year ago, the whole thing seems unfair. I mean I feel some of my best driving lessons were learnt best alone. But I guess safety first and all that stuff! I'm sure you have applied for your test, so good luck with that.

I haven't seen any check points but its a chance you take.  Everyone has taken the L plates off.  But someone was saying they were behind someone in Dublin this morning who clearly was a learner as the person couldn't take off.  And also she said she could see where the L plates had been stuck onto the window.  Otherwise its a chance to take.

Well, I have to say that I usually see hundreds of cars with L plates when I travel to and from work every morning.

Yesterday, I did not see even ONE car with L plates on

I did not come across a check point in 20 miles either.

You  might be fine if you are travelling to and from work in peak traffic times.

I can't imagine the Gardai doing check points in heavy traffic with tens of thousands of impatient drivers on the verge of extreme road rage!

I have not heard of anyone getting caught yet either!

I've not got a full licence and crashed a car registered in my name and got away with it and got away with a speeding ticket. My mate got caught driving a car into his lockup and got a fine and points when he gets his licence i think it down to you're luck lol.
