Hi Everyone…

We are in the midst of a very hectic afternoon and so I’m going to be brief here.

We’ve basically been involved in two things so far today.

One of the negotiations was for a very elite player. Despite our efforts, basically we are not very high on this player’s list and it looks like there’s no shot at the player.

We’re closer with another player though, and right now it's just the waiting game….which is excruciating.

I’m sitting here waiting in my office. In addition to me, Cam’s spoken with the player, and Claude’s spoken with the player. It’s a lot about recruitment - selling the team and the city. That’s what we are trying to do.

So keep your fingers crossed and let's see where we end up.

That’s about all I can tell you for now – hopefully I can check back later with some news.

  1. I'd be glad if I were you. Hossa is the only marquee player available aside of Sundin, and he is asking WAY more than he is worth. He's a great player, but he'll be such a burden to any team's salary cap the next few years that it isn't worth it. You are better off without him in the long run.

  2. I was just reading that...

I would love to see Hossa in a bruins uniform, but not for 12 years 100million.

There are alot of good bruin chats on Boston.com... u should check it out..
