those of you who watched ''The Duke'' on ITV Last night will know what I mean mmmmm........ nice car(s) he's got a Dark Green (Hybrid) [Metrocab] and A Blue [Land Rover Freelander2 TD4] Very Nice I Noticed that his LR Freelander and his TAXI had number plates does that mean he has to pay TAX or would he not because The Queen [[DOES NOT HAVE NUMBER PLATES]] so my question is why has his car(s) got number plates.... I'm confused.com

Well there is one thing about Prince Phillip, and that  he says it like it is. Because he opens his mouth, and you do not like that..,.well I am sorry, but at least he is honest, and not like the cronies that surround him. He is no-ones YES man, and to me that is refreshing, and honest. You seem to open yours, so why does he have to be excluded.There is too much of the Public saying what he should do , and after all we live in a Free Country, or we used to .!!

Only the Queen can drive without proper licensing;all other royals need the proper paperwork(for car and person).The Royals do pay taxes;they have been paying more taxes than they used to do since 1992.

Number plates do not denote that you've paid road tax, they're two separate issues, a road tax disc is displayed in the front window of all cars.
