But I need to know what romantic restaurants there are in El Monte, Ca or anywhere near that area for me to take my girl to dinner with anyone have any idea where a good place would be

heres an idea, dont take her to a restaurant.  go somewhere private.  but if you really want a restaurant, any brazilian steakhouse would certainly do.  i think by you is churrascos steakhouse and sambas brazilian steakhouse.  maybe a fogo de chao

El Monte is a bit of a stretch in terms of romance. I think it's worthwhile to drive to Pasadena and go somewhere fancy. There are a lot of really great places in Old Town Pasadena that would be ideal for popping the question. What kind of cuisine were you thinking? There are some fine steakhouses on Arroyo Parkway like Arroyo Chophouse, Parkway Grill, Houston's. There's the summer deal at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, too: 3-course meal for two for $48. There are also some nice Italian and French places on Green Street.

Then again, when I think of El Monte, I think of that ginormous sign by the freeway at the Longo Toyota dealership. If you wanna do something a little off-the-wall, try getting permission from Longo to use their sign to ask the big question.
