With the combination of amazing pitching and now an offense that may produce more runs it should be hard for the Angels to be beat. Other teams like the Red Sox are still going to be tough and will be a little more battle tested going in, the East is much tougher than the West...that does not mean that the Angels won't beat them though. Tex is a huge bat that makes the bats around him better. I bet the Angels start trying to lock him up long term very soon. If Vlad can get somewhat healthy they have a lethal lineup.

I do not think that Texiera adds that much to the Angels' offense. Kotcham was having a pretty decent year, though Texiera's rep. alone should add some needed protection for Vlad. In all honesty I think that it will either be the Angels or Red Sox out of the East though I am still holding pathetic hope for the Tigers.

The Angels sure did a great job getting Mark. It just makes them that much more formidable a team now. They will be tough to beat.

Really, though, they're a lock for the post season, but that doesn't mean they'll have an easy ride to the WS. They'll put up a heck of a fight, though.
