Well I have internet the problem is i only have one spot for an ethernet cord which runs to my computer well?

have been wanting to have both my 360 amd computer fun off the net but i only have 1 port on my modem!! what do i need to get? name ect. and the cheapest 1 i only need to slots for 2 ethernet cables thats all so i can play xbox live and still allow my girl to use net as same time!!! in the past i have had other modems with 4 ports but i only have 1 on this one!!

get a router which has many ethernet slots (router connects to your modem) or just go to circut city and ask about it

Get a 4 port router, connect the modem to the wan port and your pc & xbox to two of the lan ports.

You need a router, while your at it you should check that your laptop has WLAN if so you can get wireless routers for about the same price and then you can have portable internet in your home.

Routers work by having your internet go into them and then they have several (usually 4 for the home ones) ethernet outputs and this divvies up the connection.

they'll prolly set you back about 90 dollars for cheap one, maybe less these days, bought mine over a year ago for that amount.
