Well I wanted to know how to connect my TV to my receiver. I have a kind of old TV and a ok receiver.?

When I connect my receiver to my DVD player it works and the sounds comes out of the speakers. But when I try to turn my TV on, nothing came out and I also tried to connect the receiver to the TV but none of the slots would of worked and in the back of my TV it only has Video Out and I also tried all of them and it wouldnt work. So please help me if you know any answer.

  1. Can you at least use scart, dvd to tv and use audio out from the dvd to the reciever?  Hard to know without knowing the model number of the tv.


  2. The video out (yellow cable) is only for pictures. Obtain a vcr or a set top box and connected to the tv and with the audio cable (red and white cable) connected to the receiver and it should works when you watch TV though the vcr or the set top box. Or if your tv has a headphone jack (3.5mm or 2.5mm jack) get a 3.5mm or 2.5mm (what ever your tv has) converter to 2 RCA (red and white cable) and connected the 3.5mm port to your tv and the red and white cable to the receiver and that should work as well. Hope this help
