  1. it depends is the well clean, is the water not filled with germs, bacteria, etc.

    is the water acid rain?

acid rain- rain that is mixed with other gases in the air such as carbon monoxide and other dangerous gases

before drinking or doing anything to the water you should analyze it, because it will or could be hazardous to your health

  2. Well Water is usually of better quality than surface water due to it being highly protected and naturally filtered, but the water you are describing does not seem to be palatable but is potable.

Your water seems to have a high Iron content.  This by itself would not be hazardous to health, and may be quite healthy.  If in doubt have the water tested to see if it meets clean water act standards.

  3. All I know is that I grew up on well water and it never caused us any health problems.  On occasion it had that sulfur/rotten egg smell, but it always tasted fine.  I was upset when the city forced us to abandon it and have to pay for city water.
