I think there's a Christian version too, so it shouldn't really be news to the majority of Americans.

Both sides could do with some contemplation of this message for various reasons.

Yes and no. In the sense that they are using less per capita than other countries, true. But if you are assuming increased CO2 emissions are  a problem (and it seems to be a definite possibility) then they are arguing that it's OK for China to add even more fuel to the fire because the west made the same mistake first? In any event the oil is running out, pollution and overpopulation is still a huge problem, and the climate is going to do stuff no matter what...the next few decades are going to be a h**l of a ride...

when you think about how much energy the west in general and the US in particular have consumed over the last 150 years, the chinese certainly have a point

the fact that the US and europe dont seem to be serious about tackling climate change adds further weight to the chinese argument

Did you know that bees have disappeared totally from some parts of China due to pollution?

Big deal right? Wrong because without pollinating insects all crops will fail and the only solution is hand pollination. They do it with feathers on sticks.

The bee population has fallen in North America and in Europe suddenly and dramaticly and it will if it continues have a huge impact on the food chain.

Whilst we sit and argue about who is the worse our planet seems to be changing. Butterfly's are also pollinators and today its been announced that they are on the decrease in the UK too.

Its scary and yet we do nothing but ignore what's happening all around us and argue about it. If all the insects die the planet will die within 50 years. If the human race dies the planet will flourish! We need to do something all of us now before its too late! Especially if we like honey!

All this from a country who ignores our patents, killed off female babies and buys all our lead. No they don't, there culture is one of not to be seen to lose face, some call it the middle kingdom effect. I think they're point scoring politically, I mean look at Taiwan and PRC. supposedly they're not friends but look at all the trade.

Greenhouse gasses.

It's a GLOBAL CON!!!

Of all the carbon produced globally in a year, 2% is produced by human activity. The oceans alone produce and release more than 40% of the billions of tons released into our atmosphere.

Forests and pastures produce most of the rest. YES, I know that trees consume carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. BUT rotting vegitation gives of carbon. Animals produce more than we do. Should we kill them all?

It's time to reject a generation of brainwashing. Climate change is innevitable. Our climate has been changing in cycles of hot/cold ever since the Earth had an atmosphere. We are NOT to blame.

World governments, and the scientific community are distracting us from the REAL threats to our excistence. Overpopulation being top of the list.

And yes, I realise that almost everyone on here will slate me for saying this. But hey. Like I care what you guys think.

Polution is another matter. We need to stop poisoning the planet. But Global Warming is coming, whether we like it or not.
