Well i am a aussie but going home?

ok i am a aussie but i live in the USA but it is time to return to australia what i want to know is i lost contact with a lot of folks over home & i got over 35 yrs exp in trucking but i am thinking instead of going back to darwin & thought i would head to the cairns region or gold coast area but i cannot think what the newspaper is up there to look at the job market anyone know who live up that way what if any driving jobs there is i still hold a full australian commerical lic ... hc / mc but do not want to go back to pulling the road trains in the outback any employers on here i got the knowledge behind me as i said 35 yrs and over here in the usa i was a owner operator well till my divorce several months ago but with the lies and the under handed way she when about it i am glad i just said was OWNER OPERATOR .. but i have really enjoyed my time here for the last 9 yrs but i guess it is time to return home & i guess leave a good network of great friends i made here in the usa

Courier mail is Brisbanes paper. The Gold Coast Bulletin is for the Gold Coast. The Cairns post for Cairns. I believe there has been a few jobs going for truck drivers in the mines. Good luck

I've been told they're crying out for truck drivers and heavy machinery drivers. They pay very well, too.

Western Australia has had a huge boom in the mining industry and can't get experienced people fast enough - HEAPS of money to be made over there if you are interested, I'd check it out.

You'll be right mate - when you get back here and remember just how supportive OZ can be when you're going through a rough patch.
