  1. stereotypes on indians?

do you mean native Americans, or residents of India?

  2. Do you mean camel jockeys or chugs?

  3. Native Americans: They cry everytime someone litters the Environment

Middle Eastern Indians: They have a red dot on their fore head.

  4. It depends  if you are talking about american indians or people from india/

American Indians- savages, brutal, drunks, gamblers, uneducated are some wrong stereotypes

India Indians- Cab Drivers, ignorant, cow worshipers, poor, are some wrong stereotypes.

  5. Owning gas stations, acts of terrorism, cab driving, and saying "How may I help you today?" and also saying "Enjoy!" instead of saying your welcome or goodbye. Also for believing cows.

  11. I couldn't figure whether you meant the people of the country of India, or the old word for native americans.

  12. Eastern Indians own Dunkin Donuts and 7-11's.

American Indians work in construction, like to stay drunk, and have depression problems.

  13. as in indians or native americans? there's the whole cab driver thing, gas station workers, funny accents(apu from the simpsons if i spelled his name right, i s a perfect example)

for native americans is just a savage thing pretty much. other than that, we're awesome. lol. no, um, ah, cna't think, but i think u mean actual indians anyway, right?

    ...hope i helped some. lol

  14. the red dot on womens heads

  15. They either own a 7-11 or they are a doctor

    They have a funny accent

They like stupid romantic movies with lots of dancing

    They eat really spicy food

    They hate Pakistanis

Stereotypes come from reality.  We have stereotypes because it is often true...of course everyone knows that it is NOT always true

  16. I assume you mean Indians from India and not Native Americans.

Indians are stereotyped on television more than anything. I'm thinking of Apu from the Simpsons, who works in a convenience store and says in a thick accent "Thank you, come again!". I guess this is a stereotype of Indians being extremely hard working at a very menial and almost low-class level. The women are also pigeonholed as housewives and mothers(in Bend it like Beckham), the men are stigmatized as unfaithful womanizers(Middle Eastern Borat character). Some popular stereotypes include; Cab drivers in New York, terrorists, dirty/smelly/don't bathe, uni-brow and what the heck is that thing on their forehead??, huge family crowded in the same house, uneducated women, stinky food and weird religious idols(elephant headed Ganesh, and Shiva, the goddess with multiple appendages) not to mention the sacred cow.

India is often lumped into the Middle Eastern category and is immediately tied to Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran. But they aren't the same thing at all. Buddhism vs. Islam, Hindu vs. Muslim... The differences are staggering and the stereotypes just keep piling up. You might want to include some truth in your report as well as the inflammatory cultural slurs that stereotypes thrive on, so I'll try to help with that as well...

Indians believe that you don't kick your kids out at 18, the family stays together and the kids are nurtured and well loved(and very clean actually!)... Eventually the children marry and the families combine, the daughter and her dowry move in with her new husbands family. There can be abuse, it's more accepted in the middle east than in America because it's sometimes excused as tradition(an example is bride burning, too sad for me to explain but may be helpful for you to check out).

There is good and bad in every culture, religion, country and person. Don't forget that stereotypes are usually untrue and unkind, good luck with your report.
