first, definitly go for it!

he will open up and gain confedence

where to get him invovled:

usually you can get into a theatre class in school

sometimes even theatre team/clubs

or my sister once went to a theatre 'camp' for a while

but it was more like a class.

just look in your phonebook for things like that.

Just ask around and search for local acting schools in the area and see what type of classes they offer. Also if your thinking about getting him started in local community theatre just surf the web because many community theatres have web sites and they often list audition dates.
