Do a google search for Mustang OK genealogy.  Start asking questions on the board, find someone willing to do some research.  Ask mom for info like how old, how tall, hair color, siblings... She might come up with something she'd forgotten about.  

There are certified genealogical researchers you can hire.  I've done that in Oklahoma and had someone go through all the newspaper clippings for one year for a very reasonable cost.  The internet is wonderful, do some searching!

What country? If Australia, you can try and contact a show on ABC1 called 'Can We Help?', there's also a website - www.abc.net.au/tv/canwehelp - and they have managed to reunite many people, even those seperated by half a century.
