Hi all. I am starting to get very worried we have only been ttc for two months and i know it can take up yo two years but i am concerned about my cervical mucuc. It has been two months now and both times the calculators said i am most fertile i have not had any cerrvical mucus. When we have s*x after i notice the egg white type stuff but i think that is from my partner not me. I do as people tell me and do the finger teast but it is always a cream type colour and thickish in texture. I am worried that i am trusting the calculators and they are inaccurate or there is something wrong. What do you think i should do. Please help. A second child means the world to me and if i am doing something wrong i would love to know. Thankyou in advance x

  1. You also might want to try Evening Primrose Oil. My acupuncturist put me on it a few months ago and nothing happened, but this month I had CM and was so excited I wanted to tell everyone in the ladies' room (I refrained).

Of course, this month we are NOT TTC because I am having uterine polyps removed in a week.

But getting back to you: I've also heard to drink a lot of water. I ordered something called FertileCM from fertilityfriend.com but haven't tried it yet. Good luck!

  2. I too can show positive on a OPK but still not experience the fertile type CM. This is refered to as hostile cervix conditions. I am on clomid which greatly contributes to it. In your case since you are newly trying to concieve you just may have hostile CM. You can try preseed which aids in the whole sperm meets egg process as it mimics fertile CM or try mucinex (as long as it is just Guaifenesin) which is a decongestant. This helps to break up the CM so that it more easy to travel through. Sounds like you are doing things right. So keep up the testing just try one of the 2 aids and see what it does for you. If you choose the Guaifenesin route be sure to increase water intake unless your already a water drinker. If nothing else works there still is no problem in seeing a gyn to check out you CM. That may reduce the time it takes to concieve. Good luck hope this helps.

  3. well i just thought id tell you i never have CM and have spoken to a lot of people who dont as well. i wouldnt rely on that to know when your OV. I often feel a bit wet and sticky (sorry if tmi) a few days before and a few days after OV but dont rely on it. Try using OPK;s (ovulation predictor kits) you can get them from Big W, i get mine off ebay, they detect your lh surge which is just before you ovulate. Kind of like a preg test but testing for LH instaed of HCG.. Do you have a regular cycle, i like most people OV exactly 14 days before my expected period. I have a 33 day cycle which means i OV on CD19. My doctor said to BD 3 days before and 3 days after and i concieved last month.. Sadly it only lasted 6wks but im trying again this month

  4. i seem to have my mucus in my period whitch is strange. some times i do the finger test and i have the same result as you so me and my husband have it every other day to make sure we dont miss it. im hoping it has worked this month as im feeling sick ect. good luck. just keep having s*x......
