what................are some good sites or games or books you have bought or gone to to teach your preschooler? what do preschoolers learn? she turns 5 in september.......I don't wanna teach her everything they learn in kindergarten because then it wouldn't be challenging for her. I don't wanna teach her how to read or write more than her name.........so what do they do in preschool that i can do at home with her?

try buying work books at any store like walmart or go to mailbox.com those are a good source of activityies and letters, numbers, shapes and colors.

Never used a website or game or book, but I played with my dd. I followed her lead. I included her in cleaning the house and cooking meals. I took her to the zoo, museums, concerts, and plays. I read to her throughout the day and went to the library at least once a week. I signed her up for classes for preschoolers like gymnastics, swimming, dance, and art, especially ones we could participate in together.

If she expresses interest in a topic, help her explore it fully by reading about it and looking it up on the internet. Do whatever you can to expand her knowledge and encourage a love of learning.

I also made sure she had frequent playdates and great self-help skills.

Some online sites you could go on is Noggin.com,Playhousedisney.com,PBS.com,N... and you could also search on google games for kids.

starfall.com is a good site it does show you how to read but only the basics it also has seasonal games and books im 10 and i still love star fall but i can read already its just fun to look back at the stuff you used to do

Go to your local county's school website.  There should be a listing of the preschool curriculum that is taught in their schools.  Copy or make notes of the skills and then go to a local teacher supply store and purchase the needed materials.
