Well paid animal careers?

Question

my main goal is to try and be a vet. the problem is i go to a grammar school and i don't think i will be able to get the grades and i can't go into foundation because of the school i go to. HELP:

1) Does anyone know what other well-paid careers there are that are to do with animals?

2) I am into horses and show jumping so i was hoping to become a vet but how do i specialise into horse vets or do you learn it on the course?

3) do show jumping yards have their own vet?

If you wan't a job that isnt well paid but really helps animals what about working in a shelter or as an animal cruelty investigator?.

Why not join the police and go into the K9 unit , or train police dogs. Also the police have mounted officers on horse back.

Also I believe that dog trainers who work with the publics dogs make good money if they built a repudible name.
