  1. First off, yellowcake is not military grade uranium.  It can make military grade uranium (through two different and difficult refining processes), but that is almost like saying that since we found water in Iraq that means we found Sarin nerve gas (which needs water to make it).

Second, even if I buy that we just found yellowcake uranium in Iraq (I actually already knew it was there cause I paid attention and knew it wasn't WMD), that doesn't mean that denying it is propaganda.  We weren't told that it had been found.  That's not propaganda that is not knowing stuff that hasn't been knowable up until now.

However, I think it is important to remember that Yellowcake Uranium is way different from HEU which is necessary for even the most crude nuclear weapon.

Here's a good source (pro-war, so don't say its liberal biased) on the whole situation

    http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htchem/...

This is particular section that I like from the article

"The uranium oxide was what remained of Saddam's original 1980s nuclear program, the one that was halted by an Israeli air raid in 1981, which destroyed the Iraqi nuclear reactor. The uranium oxide has been in storage ever since, and was checked by UN inspectors after the 1991 war"

THUS...it wasn't concealed.  The UN checked the stuff that over a year or two could be refined into nuclear material.  And checked it constantly after 1991 until the present.  And it wasn't even harmful.  "Yellowcake is not very radioactive, a bit more so than the granite commonly used as a building material (and not considered a health hazard.)"

Comeon team.  There were no WMD in Iraq when we invaded.  Sorry.  A bunch of sifted dirt, which is what yellowcake is, does not equal a nuclear weapon or weapons-grade uranium.  Cool?

  2. WMDs in irag. If the gummin says so, it must be true. Can't lie about a thing like that. Or can't tell the same tired lie, over and over and over. Please, give it a rest.

  3. right after your precious president help ship it over

  4. Lol spell and site sources.

Thanks Julio. That's really interesting...wonder why it hasn't gotten more attention?

  5. Need to read THE HOT ZONE, DEMON IN THE FREEZER & THE COBRA EVENT--all by Richard Preston. A true eye opener and documented. If they could have what he wrote in these books than the uranium is not a questionable thing

  6. To answer Irish Girl and cordeliabrainiac from ABC NEWS

"The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program — a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium — reached a Canadian port Saturday to complete a secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage crossing two oceans.

The removal of 550 metric tons of "yellowcake" — the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment — was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam's nuclear legacy. "

And Liberals said there was NO WMD, Saddam did not have or try to get  uranium, or they were all destroyed in the First Gulf War.  I guess the U.N. inspectors miss this too.

  7. Please provide a reliable source.  Haven't heard this on CNN or Fox.....
