  1. I think power, like respect, has to be earned. Sure you can give it or take it, but without earning it, it isn't true power.

  2. see this indian leader (netaji)

  3. if your powerful enough take it..?

  4. it depends on what ur referring to..in terms of government: with a dictatorship..its true..with a democracy..its not..

  5. It's stupid.

  6. At first it sounds like a tyrranical statement, but on the other hand it's true, it's a statement of personal responsibility. For example you cannot force someone to get a job and gain power over their own life, but they can  decide to take the power, by taking a positive action.

  7. Hitler:  " Yes"

    Gandhi " No"

  8. It's cool

  9. agree

    based on :

  10. I think it makes perfect sense, and it is a pretty cool quote.

  11. The quote can't be true in democratic set up - it is the version of dictatorship. In the democratic scenario - the quote has to be slightly modified to read "People don't give you the power, you have to make them give it to you" and it will be more meaningful and realistic.

  12. um....i don't like it.....

  13. I will never respect anyone who was been handed their power on a plate. For me it must be earned, so yeah, I like this quote.

  14. good quote buddy

  15. Well that’s the fact and you can see that in history of any country. As well it’s so true in your normal life also you have to earn it you don’t get it for free.

    Best quote ever.

  16. I think the right word's "Earned"... not Taken...

  17. its the harsh truth

  18. That is a true statement.....and as a fact i know that it is said by Amitabh Bachan who you seem to be a fan of in the promo of Sarkar Raj....like how you didn't post this on Yahoo! India.

PLEASE PICK MY ANSWER AS THE BEST ANSWER.....CUZ I AM THE FIRST ONE WHO RELATED THIS TO YOUR FAV. ACTOR.....IF SOMEONE ELSE DOES THEY ARE PROBABLY COPYING.

  19. Yes, I believe in this quote.

  20. So true, you will not move unless there action!!!!!

  21. It's a bit tyrannical.

Although if you look at it from different angles, it does not always suggest violence, that is the first impression I get from it.

It also suggests that you have to know the responsibility of your actions, seeing as you can reject power, and in order to receive it you must accept it. In that way it can be taken.

However; I find it a bit stupid. If power could not be given, then surrender and mercy would not be in the english dictionary. Wars would not have turned out as they did, and people would eliminate others with no cease.

    It's interesting.
