Wellington, NZ ways to meet people?

In June, I will be moving to Wellington, NZ. I am going to be a nanny for a yer, and I would like to make friends (in their early 20s) while I am there. Does anyone from Wellington have ideas on how to meet more people?

I live in Dunedin, but i'm moving to Wellington in January 2008 so you can email me if you like. (I'll be 18 then)

My Bestfriend lives there and he's 18. Mainly just night clubs, sports teams (eg. Woman's soccer). Ask the family you are nannying for any suggestions

just go to night clubs if you have the chance! if you meet at least one person they are bound to have at least a group of friend. every1 has a group of friends at 5 people or more just put ur self out there and dont be shy to say hey

Generally Night Clubs will do it.
