Wellington Firebirds sign Brett Lee for HRV T20 Cup
Wellington Firebirds, a domestic franchise of New Zealand, has signed Australian pacer Brett Lee for the 2010/11 HRV Cup this summer.
Lee would join English all-rounder Luke Wright as Firebird’s overseas player for New Zealand's domestic Twenty20 tournament, which kicks off in early December, but would miss half of the tournament due to his commitments with the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746.
It has been revealed that the Australian fast bowler would be available for five of the franchise’s ten matches, flying across the Tasman Sea frequently to make sure he does not miss even a single game for New South Wales.
Lee, after an injury-plagued year, made a comeback to the game in Sydney this Sunday and is hopeful to be a part of Australia's limited-overs squad to take on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 in a T20 and three ODIs by the end of this month.
The CEO of Cricket Wellington, Mr. Gavin Larsen, hailed Lee’s inclusion to the squad. "It's tremendous to have secured the services of Brett and his record speaks for itself", said Larsen.

Brett Lee is expected to make his debut for Firebirds in their home fixture against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Auckland-c766 Aces on 14th of December.
