for 116.

stand up to the Aces' bowling attack. Hard-hitter http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JD-Ryder-c1679 was dismissed for 9, and his fellow opener Michael Pollard (1) was similarly lacklustre.

By the end of 20 overs, the Firebirds found themselves crumbling all out for 116 – a total which would require a fierce defence.

a solid 65-run opening partnership, which put Auckland on steady ground, but came to an abrupt end with the dismissal of Hodge off Woodcock.
