  1. Soccer players can run up to 2 miles in a game, even more if you play a midfield position.  If I were  you I would work my way up to 2 miles a day by running sprints of 20 to 50 yards.  Remember, you will not be running constantly during a game.  You will have to run in spurts.  So long distance running is not needed, but stamina is needed for the sudden bursts of running you will have do to.

    Remember have fun in your training and you will have even more fun in your game.
