  1. Whoever takes the welsh coaching role will have their work cut out....they can,t do any worse. Good luck to Warren Gatland...he did ok for Ireland.

  2. It doesn't matter who we have coaching us, its the WRU that needs changing. Gareth Jenkins never wanted the national job but they nagged him into taking it and looked what happened there. Gatland will do a great job as long as they let him do what he wants to and picks his own back room staff

  3. What a complete dope head.... i mean he isn't the worst but still...pretty bad...srry dude

  4. wales  eh need another New Zealand coach i hope this time you people over there in the ancient land of powy treat  warren gatland a bit better than how you treated graham and steve warren is a good coach h**l bring some heart and  fire back into the red dragon you guys need it  warren gatland has a knack for turning out real good forwards so maybe you welsh supporters might have a fearless loose three for once and

  5. We should sack  warren gatland now...what has he ever done for us? We haven't won a damned thing.!!!!

I want his head on a spike and i want to rape his sponsored car!!!! I hate him..he hasn't picked henson once!!!

  6. *sigh*, another day, another coach. I would mark this as interesting, but I am beyond caring now- doesn't seem to matter because they will get sacked soon enough anyway. this new guy will be lucky if he lasts a week. Gareth 4 ever. Loreli, honestly! Mighty english clubs? Yeah, right.

  7. Gatland is a good coach who did well with the Irish national team but the last time that Wales had any success under a coach is when Henry was in charge and was alowed to completely change the structure of how the national team was run. Welsh coaches haven't survived that long as Welsh coach as the WRU wouldn't give them the money to build an experienced coaching team (Jenkins) or due to backroom squabling (Ruddock). The problem with the Welsh team isn't the coach or the players, it's the fact that they have to battle against the WRU to run the team as they want to.

  8. 1 word

    IDIOT.

    :D

    Putting it nicely.

    hes a fool

    waless all the way!

    wales!

    wales!

    anyways... :P

    the new couch seems alright.

    =/

  9. I just hope the board make the right choice this occasion. Decisions are usually made in a state of panic and it is time that they decide upon a coach that will lead Wales towards the next world cup. We have the talent, it just needs to be used effectively. Wales needs to rejuvenate rugby from the grassroots up and set into place a system which will lead to success.

  10. An interesting appointment.I think Gatland could be the right choice as long as he can sort out the dressing room and get rid of the prima donnas.I would still like to see Hansen or Ruddock return as i think they installed confidence in the National side which resulted in the Grand slam but this will not happen. The big problems are the WRU who are full of people from the 60s era, come on the game has moved on now and is professional.

  11. Firstly, iam irish, we have had warren at the helm here a few seasons ago. eddie o'sullivan was his successor in 99/00 season.

warrens record here, albeit with not the greateset of irish teams,  was laughable.  he did have keith woods, o'driscoll, malcolm o'kelly and a few other big names (in ireland anyway) on the team.

gatland quickly got the boot when his poor performances even against wales, one of the weakest home nations then,  who at the time were going through a 'transitional period' was nothing short of disgraceful. he lacked vision and had a club mentality when it came to tactics along with illogical selection choices when put under the cosh by the irish media for poor results.....so off he buzzed off to wasps (couldnt resist the pun)

at wasps he enjoyed major success with heineken (well only by poitrenead's unbelivable mistake !!!) and many priemier league titles.  but wasps are BIG SPENDERS international rugby cant bring players in like that (er, forgot its wales ...maybe another granny gate for gatland ) and after provincial success with waikato in the air new zealand PROVINCIAL (not internatianal) cup when all the big boys were at the world cup

PREDICTION : a club/ provincial coach and a very good one at that !!!!!!

but he failed before at this level in this hemisphere with a team that has similar resources as wales that went on since to become 3rd in the world rankings  for a while(and we all know we / ireland had a @ss of ourselves at the wc) and triple crowns galour.

gatland IS NO  international manager and once the welsh media seize on a bad performance he will panic and go back to irratic selections that will be an imbarassement to wales

    TWO YEARS AND HE'S GONE

  12. I'm afraid to say that Welsh Rugby died the day that JPR Evans or whatever his name is retired.

Look at all the Welsh club teams, having to suck up to each other to make bigger clubs so that they can compete with the mighty English clubs.

If I was a Welsh rugby fan I'd feel so embarrassed I think I might even consider forgetting about rugby altogether and concentrate on following the career of Katherine Jenkins - at least she has some success.

    Kazza

So you won't meet me for a drink then?

Shame.  You're not bad looking for a South Walesian.
