Welsh Skipper Sam Warburton will return to action for Cardiff Blues in upcoming Heineken Cup – Rugby News
Welsh international professional Rugby Union flanker and captain, Sam Warburton, is all set to return to action for Cardiff based Welsh professional Rugby Union outfit, Cardiff Blues, in their
upcoming Heineken Cup encounter against the French professional Rugby Union outfit, Racing Metro.
Warburton has been named in the starting lineup by the Cardiff Blues on Thursday, November 10, as Blues has revealed the match-day 23. He’ll return to action after serving a three week suspension
for his offensive tackle during the 2011 Rugby World Cup semifinal.
Blues will take on Racing Metro on Friday, November 11 at Stade Yves du Manoir, Paris.
Sam Warburton was handed a three-week suspension from the game for his dangerous tip tackle on French international Vincent Clerc, during Wales semifinal loss to France during the 2nd
semifinal of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Cardiff Blues' forwards coach, Justin Burnell, has expressed his delight on the return of a number of Welsh international players to their squad for their upcoming Heineken Cup encounter.   
Besides, Warburton, Blues’ squad is strengthened by the return of Gethin Jenkins, Jamie Roberts, Lloyd Williams and Bradley Davis.  However, Blues are still without the services of the Leigh
Halfpenny, Gavin Henson, Martyn Williams and Deiniol Jones.
Burnell added, “The Welsh players have come back from a very successful campaign and they showed they are some of the best players in the world.  Physically and mentally they are ready for
the Heineken Cup.”
Halfpenny, Henson, Williams and Jones are struggling from foot, wrist, wrist) and shoulder injuries respectively.
