  1. sorry mate dont quite understand what you mean..but in a fight armstrong is one of my all time heros but hearns would be too rangy too fast too accurate hit too hard and would not allow armstrong to invade his space hearns ko in round two a brutal beating...robinson would win 2 out of four at middle weight any other level would be a war but ray leonard would beat him robinson was so good but leanord would have the antidote

  2. Ray Robinson batters Leonard for 14 rounds.  Robinson win by TKO in 14.

    Armstrong win by dec.

  3. ROBINSON AND HEARNS

  4. I just recently did Robinson vs Leonard on this site.  Ray2 would give Ray1 a tougher fight than most might imagine.   Robinson takes the lead early because Leonard attempts to box but finds out that Robinson's jab is just simply better.  To his credit, Leonard matches Robinson in many categories.  However, the jab is where they are not so close.  Robinson's is clearly better.

Robinson's other clear edge is balance, something most fighters don't even come close to Robinson.   He's the measuring stick and his superior balance is most of what sets him apart from most fighters.  Leonard glides well but NO ONE is better than Ray1 in balance.  ALI is second over-all in balance.

Leonard doesn't cut as easily as Robinson but that doesn't matter because Ray1 has so many advantages in other areas.    The fight boils down to who can take whom out of his game.

Leonard loses the first few rounds and is forced to be the aggressor.   He wins a few middle rounds than learns that he has played right into Robinson's hands.   While Ray2 is the aggressor it doesn't mean Ray1 is running.  He's just choosing his fight plan better.

Leonard finds himself behind after 10 rounds.   He's a master at throwing caution to the wind and just TAKING the fight.  However, this only pushes Robinson to do the same.  If anyone is better than Leonard in this respect, it's Robinson.  Ray1 scores a knockdown in round 12 where Leonard, though still fighting on, begins to realize he needs a KO to win.

    He never gets that KO

    Robinson by clear decision

Arron Pryor Beat Hearns Up in the Amateurs.   However, I have always maintained that, though Leonard avoided Pryor in the pros, Hearns would actually beat him.   Hearns was a MUCH better Pro than an amateur.  Everything Pryor can do Armstrong can do better.  However, I just think Hearns has too much range on Hammerin Hank and he would take too many of Hearns' early bombs.

Armstrong would survive an early onslaught and suffer 2 knockdowns before round 4.  He would survive, even the score and score his own knockdown in round 7.  He would nearly KO Tommy in round 9 but, by that time, Hearns has pulled ahead on the cards.

Hearns learns a valuable lesson and keeps his distance, taking the majority of the last 5 rounds.   I have always maintained that Armstrong is second over-all at 147, behind Robinson.  He would grind Leonard down to win a decision.

Though I rank Armstrong ahead of Hearns,   Makes no sense?  Tell me,  would you rank Iran Barkley ahead of Hearns?  He beat Hearns twice, the only man to ever do so.  Still, Tommy's accomplishments FAR out-shine Iran's.

Same here with Hearns and Armstrong.   Tommy just has the style to beat Armstrong where, even Leonard, would not.  It's a close one and it's also very possible that Armstrong could beat Hearns the way Pryor did in the amaetures.  Neither would hold a clear edge over the other.   IT's either Armstrong by late KO or Hearns by decision.

This time Tommy takes the win.  His early knockdowns clinches it for him as Armstrong wins the later rounds but falls short of stopping Hearns.

    Hearns by close decision.

  5. robinson w15 leonard

    armstrong ko 13 hearns.
