Welton Arthur in form for extending the hat-trick in the williamhill.com Great North Run - Final
The second trap trained by, E. Parker, Welton Arthur, is the brightest finalist for the williamhill.com Great North Run. Six hounds will put their potential to test for getting entitled to the £3,000 prize money by racing over 670 metres flat. Newcastle
will stage the race on Wednesday, 17th October.
Head Bound’s son struck a hat-trick through the last three open races that he has taken part in. Ever since 24th August, 2012, the black dog has been racing at the same level.
He has bagged the prize money of six out of the eight open races that he most recently took part in.
Taking flight from the second trap, he fought with the crowd that he got stuck in when racing in the first and then in the third. Grinding in on the distance had him on the other end in 41.12 seconds.
The neck’s gap had Peggys Style making peace with the second position.
Managing the third position behind the winner was, Killieford Blaze.
His incredible form was then evident in the williamhill.com Great North Trial Stakes on 29th September, 2012 at Newcastle over 670 metres. He took the black vest to the winner’s enclosure by racing in the middle and not losing grip on the leading
role. He very easily wrapped up the race in 40.55 seconds, making the track record, and led the runner-up, Anfi Gem, by 4 ¼ lengths.
Finishing third after the winner was the red box, Boherna Bridge.
Maintaining the form, the three-year-old out of, Galtee Minnie, struck a hat-trick by capturing the williamhill.com Great North Run – Heat 3 on 11th October, 2012 at Newcastle over 670 metres.
The favourite entry had drawn the second trap. Despite getting crowded when running on in the front, he made the transit on the other side in 41.02 seconds while keeping Swabys Princess, away by just half-length.
He is baked by 2 to 1 odds for the race tonight, the red box has been allotted to, Derrane Jake, while racing in black and white will be, Ballyard Buddy.
The contestants who have made it to the final reflect volumes about their capability, so Welton Arthur will need to stay at guard.
