  1. to be honest i dont bother doing what "the perfect man going" should do.

but it is always wise to bring some food, money spare jumper

check your oil and water levels

    and your tyre psi

    :)

  2. all fluid levels

tire pressures (check your spare and jack!! and wheel key)

    belt

safety equipment (first aid kit, blankets, reflectors, fire ext.)

And at least once a year, have your car professionally inspected.

  3. enough fuel in the car, check oil, tire pressure, enough sleep, leave so you have enough time getting to your destination. use your seat belt, stay off your cell-phone while driving, drive carefully. Use check spelling-it works.

  4. check outside of car for any damage before driving (especially someone ELSE's car you may be using), check tire pressure when your tires are cold, before you drive it because the air pressure inside them rises as your tires warm up on the road, rims, that your licence plate hasn't been stolen.

Check your windshield for cracks, wiper blades in good shape (not torn and swiping properly.....turn them on and wash your windshield to check them)........check all your fluid levels under the hood (oil, washer fluid.............rad, brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid) or have them checked by someone who knows how.......get an oil change if you need it..........check your fuel level...........get a car wash to make sure your lights and windows are clean so that you are visible and that you can see others.......

You should also carry extra oil or transmission fluid, etc, if you have a leak..........in an older car for example.

  5. Check all the fluids and carry your own refills. Rest when you think you need it. Pack food to go with your rest stop.

  6. Check the Coolant, motor oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and window washer fluid. Check the tire pressure - including the spare. Look at the belts and hoses.
