No, you dont have to take your Ipod out of your bag.  If you are traveling with a lap top, you will have to remove that. If you are wearing your Ipod, you will have to put it in a bin as you go through security

if you have a bag, you can keep it in your bag, but

you cant go through the scanner thing with it like

in your pocket, i bring my ipod all the time and just

put it on the conveyer belt with my bag and stuff.
